Paper Maintenance
Paper acceptance is the start of a project, rather than an end - it means you finally have the "authorization'' to promote the paper/project! And a lot is going on in the maintenance process.
The goal of paper maintenance is to make it impactful, an indicator is the citation of this paper. A typical paper maintenance is a camera-ready version and presentation with talks and posters in conferences.
Code of conduct over presentations and posters.
Posters and presentations should be reviewed by Hua two weeks before the conference.

Here are some suggestions on how to maintain and promote your published papers before presenting your paper as a talk or poster at relevant academic conferences and workshops:
Optimize the abstract: Ensure that the abstract of your paper is concise and highlights the core problem, methods, and key findings of your research. An engaging abstract can attract more readers to explore your full paper.
Prepare a blog within one week after paper submission. Write short blog posts introducing your research results and important findings. This will be used directly in Step 6.
(Required) Upon acceptance, open access with Arxiv: In Arxiv, we need to acknowledge all the funding agencies and collaborators. Submit your paper to Arxiv to make it freely accessible to everyone, thereby increasing its chances of being cited.
(Required) Upon paper acceptance, apply for travel awards. From time to time, we can fund students' travel to conferences to present research. This funding is generally reserved for senior thesis students, grad students, postdocs, and staff, but exceptions can be made. If you have papers accepted, you should always try applying for travel grants from your conference > SCAI > our group.
(Required) Make your code and data available on GitHub with good structures: there should be a README.md to explain the code and data, requirements.txt for creating the environment, and sample code in README.md to run your code. There should be reproducible via 1 script.
This means a script that:
launches all experiments
creates all figures (that arenβt custom powerpoint/gimp figures) in one go.
(Required) Social media promotion: Share the links and abstracts of your paper on academic social media platforms such as Twitter, WeChat Moments, LinkedIn, etc. These platforms can help you reach a wider audience in academic and related fields.
(Required) Update on your websites with blogs: Post the paper link on your personal academic website with a blog/vlog introducing your research results and important findings. This will help the readers understand your paper faster and attract potential readers.
Proactively search for media collaborations: If your research findings are of significant public interest, consider collaborating with media outlets to issue press releases or offer to give a talk or interview to attract more attention. Examples include ζΊε¨δΉεΏ, PaperWeekly, etc.
Continuous updates: Keep your paper under continuous attention and update it in response to readers' feedback and comments, as well as follow up on related research progress. This will help expand the influence and visibility of your paper.
These suggestions will assist you in effectively maintaining and promoting your published papers, enhancing their academic impact and dissemination.
